Examination Questions
Practical decision-making and public behaviour in Singapore’s shared spaces. This was the common thread running through one set of this year’s PSLE oral prompts. Students were asked to evaluate an ice-cream cart outside Takashimaya along Orchard Road on a rainy, windy day with slippery floors, share their experiences of queuing for a long time, and give their views on whether Singaporeans are generally orderly.
These questions required them to consider environmental factors in business suitability, reflect on patience in everyday situations, and comment on societal habits. All in real time.
This year’s PSLE oral questions have taken a fresh turn, with prompts requiring deeper analysis and sharper presentation reflexes. Writers Studio’s varied approach to tackling each question type has helped students adapt with confidence.
